Cloncurry Air Maintenance is a Robinson Helicopter Co approved maintenance facility and a sister company to Cloncurry Mustering Co which operates out of the main hangar in Cloncurry.

The growth of Cloncurry Mustering Co can be attributed to our many returning clients and customer support as well as the professional team of people employed at CMC.

Our Policies

Safety Management System

Cloncurry Mustering Company has a high standard of safety which has been developed over the past 27 years. Our safety management system covers all areas of safety within the company. A copy of this policy is available upon request.

Environmental Policy

Our environmental policy states that we will be mindful of the environment such areas as fuel consumption, waste product disposal and noise pollution.  A copy of this policy is available upon request.

R22’s

The backbone of our fleet! Our R22’s are a two seater (pilot +pax) helicopter used everyday for a various range of airwork operations.

R44’s

Our three R44’s are comfortable, reliable and fast 4 seater (pilot + 3 pax) helicopters.

These machines are less than 6 years old and equipped with all the appropriate equipment plus GPS, satellite tracking devices and cargo hooks for both charter and airwork operations.

With an unmatched safety record and every performance record in its class our 20 Robinson R22’s and 3 Robinson R44’s are an obvious choice for CMC.

Our helicopters are serviced and maintained to a very high standard by Cloncurry Air Maintenance.

Our Pilots

Our pilots are lead by our Chief Pilot with over 27 years of helicpoter experience. Most of our senior pilots have 10,000+ hours and have had experience working overseas in various fields. All our pilots have originated from a rural background enabling them to be practical, safe and forward thinking. Every pilot with CMC has completed a Crew Resource Management Course from the Civil Aviation Academy Australasia Pty Ltd and have also undergone in-house safety procedures, emergency procedures and overhead powerline procedures.

CMC holds a monthly safety meeting with management, pilots, engineers and office staff in attendance.

Each year CMC gives the opportunity to two junior pilots to be trained to our high level of expectancy and obtain a vast amount of experience in the industry.

CAM is a Robinson Helicopter Approved Service Centre. We carry a large stock of parts which are available at competitive prices.

CAM also operates a 2200 hourly rebuild centre at Moffatt Beach.

Our Engineers

Our Chief Engineer and Head Engineer have more than 50 years combined experience. They have completed advanced maintenance and service training courses at Robinson Helicopter Co Manufacturing Facility in Torrance, CA as well as the normal service training course. They lead an enthusiastic and dedicated maintenance crew.

Aerial Survey & Spotting

Cloncurry Mustering helicopters are fitted with the latest in GPS technology, allowing accurate navigation and specific area location and recording. Satellite tracking devices are also fitted to our R44 helicopters and are monitored by the base in Cloncurry.

Cloncurry Mustering Co continues to support Ergon Energy with power line patrols and inspections as part of a proud working partnership of 27 years.

Aerial Mustering

Cloncurry Mustering Co has been involved with aerial mustering since its inception in 1984, first mustering in Hughes helicopters before moving to R22’s.  We have a long list of valued clients who have shown us support and loyalty over the past 27 years.

Mining Support

Cloncurry Mustering Co has been involved with various mining companies performing surveys and sampling, aerial filming/photography, pipeline patrols and sling loads.

We understand the importance of mining within our community.

Feral Animal Control

Cloncurry Mustering Co has been heavily involved with various government departments and organisations completing culls of diseased & feral animals and pest controls. We hold all the appropriate licences needed for this work. Our reliable pilots will provide a high level of expertise and discretion whilst carrying out this work.

Flood Relief & Support
